Beryllium is the fourth element on the periodic table, also known as atomic number. Beryllium was found by a French chemist in 1798. His name was Louis Nicolas Vauquelin. You can find beryllium in earths crust but at two to six parts per million. Beryllium is most near igneous rocks, [volcanic rocks]. Beryllium is the lightest alkaline of the earths metal group.It is in group two on the periodic table.The elements in the same column on the periodic table have similar chemical properties.
