The Puzzle of Caesar
  Julia: Caesar's Child

Caesar’s only legitimate child was his daughter Julia by Cornelia. All accounts agree that Caesar was devoted to his blond and beautiful daughter. The legend was that the “Julias” of the Caesar house knew how to make their men happy. Caesar was certainly the proud papa of his own Julia. After the Triumverate was formed, Caesar married Julia to Pompey (a way to keep an ally close to the family). Perhaps as a surprise to all, the couple fell in love and lived quite happily together until Julia died in childbirth.
