B. Please take time to copy the following questions into a word document and use the sites to locate the answers. Write your answers in complete sentences using part of the question in your answer. Save your document into a Science-Human Body-Assignment folder. Please name the assignment "Nervous System-last name."

1. What are nerve endings?
2. Explain the function of the long branch of a nerve cell.
3. Describe at least three (3) sensory messages your sense organs might send your brain during a rainstorm.
4. List and identify three (3) sense organs.
5. Describe how messages travel from the sense organs to the brain.
6. What are your pupils?
7. What is the retina? Describe its main function. How does the retina help you see?
8. What is the optic nerve?
9. Where does your sense of taste come from?
What are taste buds? Name the four (4) categories of taste.
10. How do your tongue and nose work together?

C. Once you have completed the questions and answers. Write a 1-2 page descriptive essay about the Nervous System. You should include the parts of the system, the function of the system, how the system affects the rest of the body, a few more interesting facts, and a labeled diagram. Save your essay into your Science-Human Body-Essay folder. Please name the essay "Nervous System Essay-last name."
