For your presentation you are to choose a historic Supreme Court case, and present it to the class. There are many cases to choose from, and summaries of cases are in the back of the textbook.

For your presentation you will need to explain the following to the class:
1. The story behind the case
2. The process the case took to get to the Supreme Court.
3. Main arguments for the Plaintiff/ Prosecution at the Supreme Court
4. Arguments for the Defense at the Supreme Court
5. Historical Significance of the case and the Precedent the case established
*****This part is worth 20 points!

You will also need to create a poster or PowerPoint to support your presentation. Your poster or PowerPoint must include:
1. A diagram of how the case moved through the court system, from the first court appearance all the way to the Supreme Court, in timeline form.
2. Key Supreme Court Arguments for both sides
3. Statement(s) of the case’s overall significance
4. A bibliography of sources used.
5. Your poster must also be:
? Neat
? Clean
? Attractive
? Organized
****The poster or PowerPoint is worth a total of 40 points!

About your bibliography:
1. You must have at least ONE book or periodical source and at least FOUR sources total.
2. Document ALL sources, including the Internet sources used.
3. Your bibliography should be in standard MLA citation format.
****This part is worth 15 points!

You will have time to work in the library 4/26-5/3 (B-day) and 5/2-5/8 (A-day). Any work you need to complete beyond that is on your own time. You will present in random order beginning on 5/7 (b-day) and 5/10 (a-day), so everyone must be ready to present at the beginning of class.
