Onomatopoeia

Here is some snap, crackle, and pop!

Meow, meow, meow.

When a word sounds like the thing it describes, this is onomatopoeia.

It is pronounced 'Ono-Mato-Peeya'.

Some of examples of onomatopoeia are buzz, pop, bang, swish, cuckoo, and hissing.
