Welcome to the world of cereal box marketing Your assignment is to develop and design a brand new cereal box with a specific target marketing and marketing plan. Use your knowledge of the product, your design skills and YOUR BRAIN to complete this project. Step 1; Select an appropriate background color for your box - think back to the psychology of color! Completely cover your cereal box in SOLID color construction paper Step 2: Create a folder Named Cereal Box to save all your work in Step 3: Use Publisher to design the front of your cereal box - you will have success creating several different pages that you cut out and paste to your box! Some things to include Cereal Name Slogan Picture of character Free prize-give away Cereal Manufacturer (this should be your name Cereal Company) Selling words - those cereal adjectives Pictures of your cereal or your give away Save all your work in your folder! Step 4: Design the back of your box Games or Stories involving your prize or your character Step 5: Design on box side - a recipe, a game to play with the ceral or "quotes" from famous people who eat your cereal Step 6: Design the Other Side of Your Box - typically this side includes the nutrition information - which we won't have for your fake cereal - SO BE CREATIVE - put whatever YOU THINK IS BEST! Step 7: Save your Cereal Folder to your assigned USB drive - print your documents & paste them to the box! You can print as much as you want in black & white but you only get ONE shot with the color printer! (Measure twice print once) Step 8: Type a one page MLA report that describes your cereal - this marketing report is targeted to the SuperMarkets and should explain WHY they need to carry your cereal. Remember proper MLA format & Spelling COUNT. Step 9: Submit your MLA report and turn in your cereal box |
