We studied the later period of Matisse's life, when he would cut geometric shapes out of colored paper. Because Matisse was in a wheelchair in his old age, he threw the colored shapes on the ground, and glued them wherever they landed. This little lady made a very nice replica of his work, using her own shapes. |
