Students: Click on Listen link at the bottom of page to hear an example of a podcast before you begin creating your own podcast. In groups of six to eight, students will decide on the script parts of a podcast that they wish to present. Host Did You Know Good Joke, Bad Joke Similes that Make You Smile Riddle Vocabulary Theater Mrs. Finley link at the bottom of the page will take students to her web page. Students will Click on student podcast scripts located at bottom Mrs. Finley's homepage. There are web site links located on each page that will help students find the information they need. Students will print out their particular script part to complete. The student who will be the Host will use the segment introduction and host sheets to prepare for the podcast. Print out sheets to have for practice. After preparing individual podcast script sheets whole group work together to put the whole broadcast together and then practice, practice, practice. The group will inform the teacher they are ready to record. Teachers: A podcast is a kind of radio broadcast invented in 2004 that automatically delivers digital audio to portable players and handheld computers. It can then be published to the internet.
