October 29th, 2008 First Quarter News and Events 2:45 FRIDAY DISMISSALS: Students will be released on Fridays at 2:45. STUDENT COUNCIL Student Council has finished their fundraiser through "QSP" Sales. The monies earned help pay for projects, assemblies, and dances. CONCERTS: BAND: The junior high band will perform their Christmas concert Friday, December 5th at 7:30. The high school band will also perform and there will be a special performance from the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind. Mark your calendar for Friday, December 5th at 7:30. CHOIR: The junior high general music class students (and volunteer band members) will perform a choir concert December 18th at 7:30. The high school choir concert will follow. Come listen to their great performances. SPORTS: The Junior High sports schedules can be viewed at http://malta.k12.mt.us Click on the link for Malta Junior High and then the Activities link. REMINDERS: All bills must be paid prior to picking up report cards on October 29th. Parent Teacher conferences for the junior high and high school will be October 29th from 8:15-11:00 and 11:00-3:15. No appointments are necessary. End of the first trimester is November 14th. BUILDERS CLUB Its never to late to join Malta Junior High Builders Club, which is a service organization part of the Kiwanis/Key Club family. The club meets once or twice monthly during noon hour to plan service projects which have included such things as spending time at the Head Start classroom, playing Bingo at the HiLine Retirement Center, trick-or-treating for UNICEF, and wrapping presents for the Angel Program. We are looking forward to a fun group again this year! Our next meeting is 11:39 on Thursday, October 30th. Our next project will be to Trick or Treat for UNICEF and to babysit at the elementary during the PIE meeting on Monday, Nov. 3. HAVE A SUPER SCHOOL YEAR! |
