Have you ever heard, “You are what you eat?” Well deny it or not there is some truth to that statement. (Don’t go out and try to eat a set of car keys and think you are going to become the car of your dreams though!)

Here’s another truth. You are at an age where intelligent choices of what you eat could make a lifetime of difference in your quality of life. This weeklong journey, coupled with the lessons on nutrition—then followed by an equally interesting investigation of exercise--will stimulate your will to make a difference in your own life!

Here’s the plan:

1) Starting tomorrow, list everything you eat for an entire week. Use the worksheet provided.

2) Go to the website listed on the side of this web quest.

a) Sign up as a user using your first name, middle initial, and last name and a password that you are familiar with that you will not forget!

Example: John S. Doe User Name: JohnSDoe

Password: 0721! (John chose to use his birth month and day followed by an exclamation point)

b) Enter the foods you ate each day for the entire week!

c) Explore the site and answer the questions on the worksheet you will receive in class.

3) Keep track of your user name and password. You will visit it again after we explore exercise and its impact on your health.
