As we begin to discuss your roles as producers and consumers in class through varies activities, we will use this online unit as a reinforcement tool to help you master the concepts of goods and services, human, natural, and capital resources, money, savings, as well as producers and consumers

Clicking on the links to the left will begin your journey through this unit. The links will take you to different educational games that will reinforce key economic concepts. You will also go to some links that will take you to worksheets that will be graded and added to Mrs. Space’s grade book. Last, you will be taking a quiz over the different information that you have learned through class time and from visiting the provided links.

The link I would like you to visit first is the calendar link. The calendar located at this link will show you what you are expected to work on through the end of March and the start of April. The calendar will also provide you with due dates for each of the assignments for this unit.

The Economics track is a link where links to different educational games are located for you to complete for extra practice of learning economic concepts. You can work on the track beginning on March 25th and ending Friday, April 4th.

Economics Worksheet #1 – is a link where you will find a worksheet that you will need complete using track #5. You will need to print this worksheet and complete the resource hunt activity while you watch the video on how crayons are made. You can access this worksheet on Monday, March 31st and is due on Friday, April 4th.

Economics Worksheet #2 – is a link where you will find a worksheet that you will need to print to complete. Once you have printed your worksheet, type in the URL into your web browser to view several workers providing a service. Complete the worksheet by completing the table. You can access this worksheet on Monday, April 7th and is due on Friday, April 11.

The Livetext Lesson/Video is a link where you will watch a video. You will need to watch the video, for you are required to complete a worksheet. Obtain a copy of your assessment from your Mrs. Space. You are required to work with this video and hand in this worksheet on Tuesday, April 15.

The next link is an educational game found on Mrs. Space’s Quia page. This game is used as a tool to provide you practice with economic vocabulary. You can work on these activities starting on Tuesday, March 25th and continuing until Friday, April 11.

The Economic Esheet is an online worksheet that has links embedded into the questions you will need to answer. The embedded links will provide you with the answers you need. You can access the esheet on Tuesday, March 25th and it is due by Wednesday, April 16th.

The Economics quiz link is where you will take a quiz on Friday, April 18th. The quiz will be completed by all classmates during social studies class.

Your last task is to create a poster demonstrating your knowledge of Natural, Human, and Capital Resources. Your poster must define what each type of resource is. You also must include seven different examples of each type of resource.
The link Econimics Resource Proster will allow you access to a rubric that your poster will be grade by. Print the rubric and read over it before you begin your constructing your poster. This project will be due on Friday, April 18th.

Have fun working through this unit, and remember to keep track of all you assignments. All your assignments will be collect into your study guide for this unit and will be grade.

Working with the provided activities (links) students will reinforce their economic concepts of producers, consumers, goods and services, needs and wants, natural, capital, and human resources. Students will be able to define and identify all the above listed economic concepts.
