Before we jump in to your project, read this link first! It will give you an idea of why we are studying maps. As you read, try to think about some reasons we might need a map. As your final project, you will create a map that displays: - Your Home -Our School - 5 Friends' houses - 5 Natural Landmarks - 5 Man-made Landmarks - 5 Residential Streets - 5 Major roads - A Compass Rose All of the above will be drawn and labeled on your final map. You will use MapQuest for your rough draft. Read and explore the following pages to help you better understand mapping. |
