A story can be told from one person’s point of view (first-person point of view). This is when the character tells the story and refers to himself/herself as “I.”
A story can also be told in third-person point of view. This is where the narrator is not a character within the story.
Point of view also refers to how the beliefs and feelings of the narrator affect how a story is told.

In the book, Shiloh, Marty is the first-person narrator. He refers to himself as “I” and his feelings are read first-hand.

Now, the pen's in your hand...

Rewrite a scene from Shiloh from the point of view from another character besides Marty.

Characters to choose from:
-Shiloh
-Judd
-Mr. Preston
-Mrs. Preston

What would a different character think and say within this scene? Would their thoughts and actions be similar to Marty's? Would they have done something differently?

You are now the author... be creative!
