When ever you want to use a quote or copy a sentence into you PowerPoint, you must cite the source. To do this, put your sentence in quotes ("") and list then list the authors last name and the page number of of the quote at the end of your sentence. Since most of resources you will be using are internet websites, if you cannot find the author of the site, the name of website will be an adaquate replacement.
At the end of your PowerPoint, you need to list ALL of the sources you used to write your PowerPoint. Even if you did not copy exact quote from the sources, they still need to be put in your works cited page. Below are the following peices of information you will need to collect from each source to compile your works cited page: EXAMPLES Book with one author: Author (last name, first name). Title of the book. City: Publisher, Date of publication. EXAMPLE: Buffa, Liz. Research Paper Smart. New York: Random House, 1997. Website: Site name. Date of last update. Author. Date you accessed the site.URL EXAMPLE: U. S. Department of Education (ED) Home Page. 29 Sept. 1999. US Dept. of Education. 1 Oct. 1999.http://www.ed.gov/index.html. |
