7th Grade Essay Unit

 

Prompt Choices:

1. Imagine you have won a vacation of choice for you and one other person. Construct a piece of writing that discusses specifically where you would go, what you would do, and the other details of your trip.

2. Your principal wants to invite a celebrity speaker to your school. Think about the celebrity you would choose to have speak; then construct a piece of writing to persuade your principal of the reasons why this person would be the best choice as a guest speaker.

3. A wealthy donor plans to build a new facility that will benefit young people in your area and will provide them with positive ways to spend their time. The donor is not yet sure what the facility should contain. Construct a piece of writing in which you identify the type of facility you would like to have built, and persuade her/him of the reasons why this is the best choice.
