Having Breakfast is Essential

Links:

Have you ever wondered why your parents tell you to have breakfast in the morning? When you wake up, it’s probably been at least 10 hours since you had dinner. Imagine waiting that long to eat during the day! Your brain and your muscles need energy, and going to school without breakfast is like trying to fly a kite without any wind.

So breakfast is important because it provides you with fuel to start your day. It doesn’t matter what you eat, because food groups (the ones that you can see in this project) work together. The most important thing is that you get the nutrients.

Nutrients give you energy and keep your body healthy and strong.

For example, the orange juice you drink is made of simple carbohydrates, which gives you the necessary energy to sprint to the school bus. Eggs and cheese give you energy all the morning and milk and other diary products, (whether alone or mixed with carbohydrates such as cereal) provide protein, fat, mineral and vitamins to the parts of your body that are working in growth.
