HELPFUL INFORMATION:

INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATH HOMEWORK GRADE:
Please note that the math homework grade is a COMPLETION grade and not an indicator of understanding or concept retention. Please practice and study before tests and quizzes. Please attend the Homework Room or come before or after school to ask questions or for extra practice.

HELPFUL HINTS for success in math class:
1. Practice with math homework EVERY night. Students should spend approximately 15 - 30 minutes on math homework a night. (challenge classes could be more) Use your book and notes to help you. Look at examples to see how work is shown correctly. Use the answers to the odd-numbered problems in the back of the book to self-check and correct.

2. Attend the Homework Room for extra practice work, help with homework, practice for tests and quizzes, and extra help on any concept.

3. Practice before every test and quiz. Use study guides for help. Make sure you understand every concept on the study guide before you take the test. Remember: I am always available for you to ask questions before or after school.

4. If you are in a Course 1 or Course 2 class, please utilize the book's website, www.classzone.com, for more examples, extra practice, and practice tests.
