Just about every culture of the world has a reach history of creating and wearing masks. From Japan to Africa to Norway, people have been making masks for a variety of reasons. So what are they? Why do people make masks? Why do they look so different? What are the specific uses of a mask.

Access some great information on the link to the side, and answer the questions below.


1. List 4 materials people use to make masks?

2. Describe three rituals that people use masks in or for.

4. What is a mask?

5. Find one example of a star shape mask and write the title,and culture.

6. Find an example of other things people wear to go along with their mask.

Open a Word Document, and copy and paste the questions so you can type up the answers. To copy scroll over the questions with the mouse. Click edit at the top of the window, and select copy. Once, you've opened the word document select edit and paste.

Once you have answered all the questions go onto page 2.
