Each week I will post the vocabulary words and definitions here :-) Environment: the area around a living thing. Habitat: the place where a plant or an animal lives. Ecosystem: all the living and non living things that interact in an environment Wetland: an area that is often flooded Mountain: a high, raised part of Earth’s surface Coastal Plain: an area of low, flat land near an ocean Piedmont: an area, with many hills, between the coastal plain and the mountains Drought: a long period of time with very little rain Balance: not too many and not too few of a kind of living thing |
