It all starts with an initial OBSERVATION! Which prompts a QUESTION, which could be written as a STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM. Then comes BACKGROUND, which is what you already know or have read about. Followed by your HYPOTHESIS, which is IF you did this (caused this), THEN you expect that (measured effect). Then list MATERIALS. Then list 4 VARIABLES. Followed by your numbered PROCEDURES, accompanied by colored labelled drawings. Create a DATA table. Write your ANALYSIS (your thoughts about your data) with a graph if you can of any quantitative (numbers) data. Write your CONCLUSION (answer the question). Add if it supported your Hypothesis or not. Write 2 RECOMMENDATIONS; A) how would you do it better and B) how does the lab relate to the real world? |
