Australia Project Project Information

You will now begin working through the projects listed below. You may do them in any order as long as each of them is completed by the project due date. You will need to click on the "Website Track" link to find the information needed to complete these assignments. . Remember to do them neatly to earn the most points possible. #1: Australia Map - fill in and label important features of Australia. Must be done neatly and colorful. Points=50 #2: Story Writing - using Aussie slang, write an adventure story about traveling through the outback. Use as many of the slang words as possible to make it more fun and interesting. It should be a minimum of one double spaced typed page or two handwritten pages. Remember to follow the writer's workshop procedures to complete this writing project. Points = 100 #3: Choose a famous landmark in Australia. Write 1-2 paragraphs telling about the landmark. Then, recreate the landmark by drawing a picture, creating a model, a diarama, etc. to show what the landmark looks like. Points = 50 #4: Click on the Aboriginal Art link. Read through the information on each website. Make a list of 10 things about Aboriginal art that will help you to create your own piece of artwork. Once you have finished reading through the webpages, begin creating your own Aboriginal art. You will need to visit the art center in the classroom to find the materials you will need. Remember to take your time and complete this project neatly. Good luck and have fun! |
