Identifying a Teen Issue

Search OPAC for a novel you might want to read addressing a teen issue about which you have an interest.

If you find a novel you would like to read, print the record to keep until you come to the library.

OR

Use the link to NoveList from Michigan Electronic Library to search for a novel about a teen issue you find interesting.

1. Scroll to the Teen Category on the left menu bar, and click on Recommended Reads. Then, select a genre or category of fiction of interest to you. Begin to search for a novel.

2. After you have found the novel, go back to OPAC to see if the library owns a copy. If we do, print that record. If we do not, you can print the record from NoveList, and the librarians will search for a copy from another library.

If you have time and have identified an issue in the novel you want to read OR you just want to search for a teen issue, you can link on the ProQuest Databases search. These databases contain information from newspapers, magazines, reference books and approved websites. You will find reliable information.
