Let's Plan a Road Trip
  Use your Brain

Your assignment is to plan a road trip through Alabama. You will use the internet, Microsoft Word, and Google Maps to complete your assignment.

Follow the directions carefully:

Step 1/Day 1: Research Alabama
Use your brain to identify one city for each of the following markers. Record your research in Microsoft Word. (There is no required format for your research but your must be able to USE to on Day 2)

1. City with a population of at least 50,000
2. Alabama National Park
3. City on a river/lake
4. City with Native American Attractions/Connections
5. State Capital
6. City withA Music Attractions/Venues/Connections
7. City with a Robert Trent Jones Golf Course
8. City with Civil Rights Museums/Connections/Markers

Each city can only be used ONE TIME

Save your Microsoft Word document as your last name roadtrip and send to me before the bell rings

Step 2/Day2:
Use Google Maps/My Maps to mark your locations on a map. Make sure to write the city name as the title of your placemarker. When you have marked all locations follow these directions:
In the upper right hand corner click SEND and send your map to me via email.

Step 3/Day2: Now that you have drawn your map evaluate your pins and begin to plan a route. You will need to select an order to visit each location that will be efficient (you don't want to be criss crossing the state)
