Metabolism of Nutrients
  Digestion

As the last major topic (and review for the end of the year) you will be tracing the path of a food through the digestive system and the rest of your body.

Directions/Requirements

Choose a food/meal; the only requirement is that all the essential nutrients (carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, and water) must be accounted for in the food or meal.

You need to include:

-The functions of the organs of the digestive system and accessory organs
-Where digestion of each of the nutrients (if applicable) occurs
-The names of the enzymes involved in digestion of each of the nutrients (if applicable)
-What happens to food at each major organ/what form is it in
-Where absorption of each of the nutrients (if applicable) occurs
-How and to where the nutrients transported and what is their role there (functions)
