Week of March 1, 2010. Most activities this week should be done in groups and submitted via nicenet or studyspanish. You will use the class website to complete most of this week’s activities. Start nicenet conference about current events relating to Latin America, careers, business and the economy. Select an article from the links below or from the reading section of the class website. Work in groups to get the gist of the article then complete at least 2 of the activities that follow. You can use the articles as a VLR entry. • Use them to start a discussion or debate on nicenet • Retell the story using comic strips. • Capture the main idea using illustrations • Identify cognates, verbs in different tenses and at least 5 new vocabulary and the definitions and/ or synonyms. Movie Friday: Check the black CD holder on the cart that has the TV or inside the DVD player. • Spanglish or In the times of the Butterflies. • Complete the video worksheets for a quiz grade.
