What Challenges Does Executive Dysfunction Present in the Classroom? Students who have difficulties in any of the domains of executive functioning will face challenges both at school and at home. In the classroom, students will have difficulty with tasks such as: • keeping track of time • engaging in group dynamics • beginning and completing assignments • reflecting on work • making plans and sticking to them • finishing work on time • knowing when to ask for help • waiting to be called on before speaking • self-monitoring to limit distractibility |
