Notes: • Students should NOT put their full name, e-mail address, or other personally identifiable information when using Project Poster. HOW DO I CREATE A POSTER? 1. The teacher registers, and then creates classes. A class code is automatically created for each class. 2. The students will plan their posters. That is, they will write their stories in a word document. 3. Students will write their compositions using the provided instructions and links for this task. They will have it ready for publication. 4. Before publishing their poster students will find a picture to illustrate their story from “picsearch” http://www.picsearch.com/ The selected picture must be saved in the students’ PC. A real picture may also be used to illustrate the poster. Use the link "select images for your poster". 6. To publish their posters, students will access the Project Poster Page; use the link "project poster". 7. Once there, they will look for the “Student Login” square and click on 'Create a New Poster'. Students will fill in the requested information: Classname: Level 6 Cellap Spring 10 Teacher’s name: Natzyelly Class Code: 205084 8. When students create their poster they will have to provide a password. Students must make sure they write this password down somewhere so they don’t forget it and they can edit their poster any time they want to. 9. In the text section, students will paste the word document they have revised. Students must not forget to give a title to their poster. 10. Once students have pasted their text, they can illustrate their poster. Students can add a personal real picture or add the picture they can select from “picsearch” in step number 5. Students must use the “Examine” bottom. Remember they saved the picture in their PC. 11. Finally, students click the “Done” buttom and ready!!! 12. When students finish publishing their poster the system will give them an IDENTIFICATION NUMBER. Students must write this number down, since they will have to send it to the rest of the group for them to read each other’s stories. 12. The teacher can view all his/her students' posters when managing classes. 13. A student can edit his/her own posters at any time by typing his/her poster ID number and password in the Student Login box. 14. IMPORTANT: Students can view their peers’ posters by entering the poster ID number or class code in the “Search for a Poster” section. |
