While these do not replace the experience of reading with an adult or older sibling, children find them appealing and they provide an educational opportunity. Many provide response activities. ~~~~~~~~~~CURRICULUM RESOURCES~~~~~~~~~~ All classrooms subscribe to Scholastic News which is a weekly magazine that covers current events. Their website provides extension activities as well as games. ~~~~~~~~~~~EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES~~~~~~~~~~~ For additional websites, Common Sense Media offers a compilation of recommended websites for entertainment, education and recreation categorized by age group. |
