A High School Teacher's Resource to Teaching Ceramics

About Me

I was never good in core curricular subjects at school. I could never sit down on my desk for long periods of time. That always put me in trouble at school. I used to look forward to art class because I could lose myself and create whatever I felt like without someone reprimanding me for not being in my chair or not getting good enough grades...

The love of Art followed through with me to college and I graduated with a bachelor in Studio Art and a minor in Oil Painting. I found it very therapeutic and relaxing. My love for Art was so deep that I chose the thesis for my masters’ degree to be on the therapeutic aspects of art on high-school students.

I’ve been a ceramics high school teacher for the past nine years; I have always found it hard to scout out information that helps me teach my students in an efficient way. I was always on the lookout for lesson plans, rubrics, artists, clay resources and suppliers, plagiarism, plus other information. That is why I decided to create this comprehensive website that is inclusive to as much information as possible.

No teacher should reinvent the wheel, so welcome to my website!
