Writing is probably the most unpopular task when learning a foreign language. That’s why we are going to help you practice a little with very familiar narrative texts: fairy tales. Read the questions below and check the pages on the left to find the answers. 1. Which is the most frequent beginning of a fairy tale? 2. Who wrote Hansel and Gretel and The Little Mermaid? 3. What different parts do you recognize in the structure of a fairy tale? 4. Look for examples of phrases which introduce the problem in the story. 5. Can you give us an example of a traditional fairy tale end? 6. Two things fairy tales have in common. Now think of a story you would like to turn into a "fairy tale". Use the Prewriting Questions Chart to help you with the story structure and don't forget to check the Fairy Tales Facts section. Write your fairy tale and add some images to illustrate it! |
