Diary of a Wimpy Kid |
Hi, my name’s Greg and I’m going to tell you a bit about myself and my family. I’m still short but I know one day I’ll be tall and strong. I have brown hair and brown eyes. I’ve got two brothers, Rodrick and Manny. Rodrick is my big brother and he thinks he’s very cool; he makes my life miserable but I usually try to pay him back. Manny is the youngest. He always tells on me. Every morning I fix him his cereal while mom gets ready for work. Manny takes his bowl and sits in front of the TV on his plastic potty. My mom says I’m a real smart kid but I don’t apply myself. It was her idea that I should write a diary. I know one day I’ll be famous. My dad doesn’t like watching football or drinking beer. He likes painting his little soldiers. This year I’m starting Middle School so I’m kind of nervous. Rowley is my best friend but I sometimes like playing tricks on him. He’s taller than me and chubby. Sometimes he is weird but he’s my friend and I like hanging out with him. Chirag and Fregley are my friends too but they sometimes act strange. There’s a person I particularly hate: Angie. She´s so pushy. Well, if you want to know more about my life, you should read my Journal and watch the film about myself. Wow, I’m a famous guy! See you around. SPEAKING 1. Have you ever written a diary? How old were you? Do you keep a diary or blog? Why do you think people like writing about themselves? 2.
