1 pound ground beef 1 garlic clove, minced ½ medium onion, chopped 2 to 3 t. celery stalks, sliced 1/3 cup chopped green pepper 1/4 cup ketchup 1 cup water 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons vinegar 2 teaspoons brown sugar 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes 1 —(6 -oz) can tomato paste 6 to 8 hamburger buns in a large saucepan or skillet, brown ground beef, garlic and onion. Drain fat. Add celery and green pepper, cook and stir a few minutes. Add all remaining ingredients except buns; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour. Spoon onto buns.
