Classroom Expectations

1. Respect Others-Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged before speaking. Listen and be respectful when others are speaking. Listen while Ms. Maxwell is teaching and be actively engaged in the lesson.

2. Respect Yourself- Try your best at all class activities. Come to class prepared (bring your dance clothes and a pen/pencil), be on time, and be ready to learn (stay focused and on task).

3. Respect Property- Be respectful of the dance space and the belongings of others within the dance room. This includes no shoes on the dance floor, NO food or drink in the dressing room or on the dance space unless special permission is given (except water), pick up trash left on the floor, clean up after yourself. Please ask to borrow items that do not belong to you before you use them (except items left on the student center).

In addition:
-There will be NO GUM allowed in the dance space. Not only is it school policy for students to not chew gum, it is a safety hazard to be chewing gum while dancing! Students who have gum will be first asked to spit it out and be given a warning. Students still found chewing gum after the first warning will be sent out of class to complete a reflection form with a buddy teacher.
