MAKING PREDICTIONS Would you like to make predictions about the world or maybe your mates? Well, try the following Treasure Hunt and test out you fortune-telling abilities. You can find all the information by visiting the links on your left. 1. What are earthquakes? 2. Is it possible to predict earthquakes? 3. Where has been a recent earthquake? (Find out about the latest earthquakes) 4. What’s a volcano? 5. What’s a tsunami? (You can watch a volcanic eruption animation) 6. When and where is the next World Cup? 7. What country do you think will win the Cup? 8. Visit the newspapers on your left (The Independent and Newspaper for Kids) and try to find news about war, climate change and the World Cup. 9. Do you know what a fortune cookie is? Click on Fortune Cookie and you’ll find out. You’ll have to write on a strip of paper a prediction. Some volunteers will make fortune cookies at home and insert the predictions in the cookies, bring them to school for everybody to enjoy and find out about their future. Good luck! |
