Renewable energy technologies are not just fantasy or science fiction! Solar panels, wind turbines, and other kinds are being used in many parts of the world. In this WebTask you are going to learn a little bit more about renewable energies and you’ll even get some hands-on experience. Read the questions below and answer them. Click on the links and you'll find all the information. 1. What is renewable energy? 2. Why don’t we use renewable energy all the time? 3. Define the following renewable energies: wind power, biomass, hydro power, solar power, geothermal. 4. How do you think renewable energy could be used in your school? Think of some examples. 5. The first one will consist in making a presentation of a kind of renewable energy. You’ll have to find information about its uses, background, pros/cons, where it’s being used, photos…).
