Chapter 2 Copy the following definitions in your journal: Foreshadowing….a technique an author uses to help the reader predict what might happen in the plot of a story. Flashback….a literary technique used which relays information about something that happened earlier in a character’s life. On a separate sheet of paper answer the following question: After reading Chapter 2, what (flashback) information did you learn about Johnny that might be important to the plot of the story?
