Using the Internet and your textbook, research one important aspect of the Ancient Egyptian civilization. Some examples of what you can research are: Pyramids, Mummification, Religion, Medicine, Hieroglyphics, Clothing and Pharaohs.
Your project will be broken into two parts. The first part will be the written portion of your research. Take all of the information you found on the topic you researched and compile it into four detailed paragraphs. Your paragraphs need to be typed with a proper heading and title. Spelling, grammar, punctutation and sentence structure are important. Please be sure to edit your writing!
The second part of your project will require you to create some sort of visual aid to go with your writing. the visual aid can be a poster board of pictures and information, a hand made project that relates to your topic, or a project that involves technology- such as a Power Point presentation. Your project must be original and cannot be copied, downloaded or photocopied from a book. All of the work that you hand in must be your own.
You may work by yourself or in a group of two or three. There may be no more than three in a group. If you are working with a partner(s) you need to make sure you provide enough research and have a creative visual aid that represents the work of all the people in your group.
*Please remember that you must put the writing aspect of your project into your OWN WORDS!! DO NOT cut and paste paragraphs from the Internet, or copy them word for word into your research project...that is called plagiarism!! If you attempt to plagiarize, you will receive a zero on the project.
