ARRIVE DRESSED ON DAY ONE IN LAYERED CLOTHING THAT INCLUDES A JACKET AND BRING A LUNCH AND A REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE.
Please use this list to help you decide what to pack for your overnight stay at Portola Redwoods.
Pack into a SMALL backpack or sports bag that you (student) can carry for overnight:

A flashlight

Clothing: 7th and 8th grade don't forget bandana
• pajamas
• 2 change of clothes one set for COLD evening and early morning times one for warm afternoons!
• 3 underwear
• 2 socks
• extra pair of shoes that can get wet NOT flip flops
We HIGHLY recommend light weight long sleeves and long pants to protect against mosquito and ticks, as the day cools/warms add sweatshirt then jacket.
Toiletries:
• soap/container
• toothbrush/toothpaste/floss
• female hygiene personal item if needed
• deodorant
• comb/brush
• sunscreen
NO spay on Mosquito/bug sprays WIPES only. Not needed with appropriate clothing.
Towel one small hand size

Bedding packed in a large heavy duty garbage bag or "Stuff Sack"
Sleeping bag designed for OUTDOOR use, blanket(or SMALL pad) for use under bag wrapped tightly into a STRONG GARBAGE bag or stuff bag and LABELED with your first and last name and HOMEROOM on the outside of the bag.

Dunk Bag (mesh bag):
Must include non breakable labeled cup, cutlery, plate and bowl

Students may not bring ANY electronics this includes cell phones/mp3 players etc if these are found they will be confiscated until the END of the school year.
They may bring a pack of cards.

Prescription medicines must be placed in a ziplock style bag with doctor's instructions and ORIGINAL labels and given to the homeroom teacher.
