Dear Parents,
This week we shared items that begin with the letter "Pp" and we studied about penguins. Ask your child who cares for the egg until it hatches. Is it the mom or the dad? Ask them to share some other facts with you about penguins.:)

Next week will be the letter "Qq". We will talk about the groundhog and his prediction and learn about science concepts.

Valentine's Day Party Dates:
Monday, February 13: 9:30 and 1:45 *High-5 parties are on the 13th to allow parents with older children to participate in their celebrations also.
Tuesday a.m. class, February 14 at 9:30
All parties are held in the Dining Room. Please check in at the office if you are joining us for the party.
Please remember to only fill out the "from "and your child's name on the envelopes on the Valentine cards. Please do not address them for each child in the class. This really aids in the passing out process! The children will make a Valentine bag in class. Please do not send in a decorated bag/box from home. Thank you!:)

Catholic Schools Week:
Thank you for your generosity in donating Jello pudding and gelatin for the SSM food pantry. You may continue to bring in donations through February 5. Thank you!

Next week is Catholic Schools Week! Last week, in our newsletter, we provided you with the list of daily activities for this fun week. Also, a flier was sent home in your child's red folder outlining each day's special activities. Check this out!

Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for February 15 and 16. Preschool has NO SCHOOL on these days, as we conference with all students. Please come in to schedule a conference. If you cannot come in to sign up, please e-mail your child's teacher and we will help you find a time.

Request....If your child is going to be absent for any reason, please either notify the school at 896-0754 or e-mail your child's teacher. We often alter plans when a student is going to be gone Thank you for your help with this request!

Book Fair:
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held during conference times. Please visit the library for this special book sale. All proceeds help purchase new books for the library. Teachers also have "wish lists" if you are interested.
