Aesop's Fables

Who was Aesop? When and where did he live?
What's interesting about his name? What was he like? What makes a fable unique? What was a fable in Aesop's time? To answer these questions, you will work in pairs. The links on your left will help you find information on Aesop's life.

You will also have to write a fable adapted to modern times. You will have to pick a moral lesson and try to fit a story around it. You will have to decide on the characters, setting and write your own adaptation. Make sure that your fable and its moral are clearly stated.

With your fable completed, you must decide how to divide it into slides you will be using in your Power Point presentation, so you must decide which part of the fable (text) will occupy each slide. Remember that one slide will deal with Aesop's biography. Decide on the illustrations. They must reflect your fable.
