Dance I/Intro to Dance Warm Up- Fall 2018 Song: “Nevermind” by Dennis Llyod (R= right, L= left) -Start standing in parallel position with good alignment and a focal point -Four shoulder rolls back with snaps (1-8) -Four alternating shoulder rolls back RLRL (1-8) -Grapevine and snap, RLRL and ending in 1st position (1-8, 1-8) -From 1st position, plié/relevé (1-4), plié/relevé (5-8), grande plié down (1-4) back up to standing (5-6) shoulders roll back RL (7-8); Repeat again (1-8, 1-8) - Rib isolations RLRL (1-8), rib isolations front/back/front/back (1-8), ribs circle around to the right (1-8), ribs circle around to the left (1-8) --From 2nd position, plié/relevé (1-4), plié/relevé (5-8), grande plié down (1-4) back up to standing (5-6) shoulders roll back RL (7-8); Repeat again (1-8, 1-8) -Arm reaches slow, slow, quick/quick, slow (RLRLR)(1-8), side stretch to the left, to the right foot, to the left foot, to the right side (1-8); Reverse the other way starting on the left (1-8, 1-8) -Right lunge (1-8), reach the right arm up (1-8); Left lunge (1-8), reach left arm up (1-8) -Tuck the knee and sit down with the feet facing the mirror (1-4), lay down on back with knees up (5-8) -Four crunches (1-8), crunch up to the right, center, left, and go back down (1-8); Repeat again (1-8, 1-8) -Flip over for push ups (1-8); 10+ push ups (until the end of the song) |
