PRE TASK: 1- Watch the video number 1 on ecosystems 2- Let´s revise the vocabulary on Vocabulary game 3- You will be organized in groups of three students and you will choose three of the ecosystem from this list: -Grassland /Savannah -Desert -Deciduous forest -Tropical rainforest/jungle -Tundra -Taiga /mountain forest -Aquatic ecosystem: fresh water / marine water Decide who will be the biologist, the enviromentalist and the zoologist 4- Download and print the WEB TASK CHART (link on your left) You will need to fill it in with information about the three chosen ecosystems. 5- Download and print the WEB TASK MAP (link on your left). Mark the location of each ecosystem on the map TASK 6- Use the websites in the resources section (on the left) to find information to complete your chart and the map 7- Search for appropriate images and videos to illustrate your mind map. And remember! : the botanist should find information about the Flora, the zoologist about the Fauna and the environmentalist about the abiotic factors of each ecosystem POST TASK 8- Use “POPPLET” to create a mind map. Make sure you include all the elements and insert pictures or videos on it 9- You will present your ecosystem to the rest of the class, make sure that each team member reports on at least one ecosystem. *You should revise the rubrics information before start working on your mind map this way you make sure you know what you are expected to do (next page) |
