This WebTask is aimed at 1st of Bachillerato students, who study the English language, in particular, the culture related to food around the world will be explored.

PRE-TASK

In the first link, a short video from YouTube will be played, which is used to introduce the topic, since it is about street food around the world. It also provides us with different examples of dishes around the world. This will serve as an introduction for our students.

In the second link, there’s a short video of Gordon Ramsay and Megan cooking Pulled Pork.
In the third link, you have a little cloze test about the video that you have to answer.
This has been done with Learningapps.

TASK
In the fourth link (mural) you have some examples of recipes.
In the last two links, there is a glossary that students can use. This is done with Quizlet and has been seen during previous blog entries.

• Choose a specific dish, describe the ingredients and the aspect that it has (colour, origins, country) and the reasons you choose that dish and not another one.
• Now, try to cook it and take a photograph.

Use the blog of our classroom and post your writing there, just below the example.

REMEMBER: You also have to use the language content, seen in class:

• Vocabulary about food, cooking verbs and ingredients. (KEY VOCABULARY)

• Grammar points: use modals and imperatives as much as you can.
