The Vav makes the same sound as the Vet. Both have the "V" sound as in victory. The Vav is used in place of "and" when it appears at the beginning of a word. Adding a dot to the top of the Vav changes the sound to "OH" and adding a dot to the left side changes the sound to "OO". |
