We are pleased to announce the men's and women's artistic teams participating in the Artistic World Championships in Kitakyushu, Japan, next month.

Becky Downie, the reigning global silver medallist on bars, is nominated to the women's squad with Claudia Fragapane, the 2017 world floor bronze winner, and Commonwealth champion Georgia Mae Fenton, with 16-year-old Ruby Stacey completing the lineup in her maiden major championship appearance.

The men's team, which features 2016 Olympian Brinn Bevan, 2018 European floor champion Dom Cunningham, four-time European medalist Courtney Tulloch, and current British all-around champion Joshua Nathan, is also a mix of youth and experience, with Hayden Skinner and Joe Cemlyn-Jones making their major championship debuts.

Gymnasts will compete for all-around and individual apparatus championships at the Championships from October 18th to 24th. There is no team event this year. Who will hold the world for the first time since 2019, when Britain's Max Whitlock MBE and Joe Fraser won individual apparatus championships, Becky Downie took silver on the uneven bars, and Ellie Downie took bronze.

"We're thrilled to announce this squad and to see our great British artistic gymnasts compete on the global stage once more," said James Thomas, British Gymnastics Performance Director. The lineup has a potent mix of seasoned, world-class gymnasts and newcomers eager to make their mark. We're sure that gymnastics fans will see some remarkable performances and unforgettable moments.

"With an unparalleled competition schedule created by the postponed Olympic Games, it's an honor to be able to demonstrate our depth of talent across men's and women's programs via the exceptional gymnasts selected for this World Championships. British Gymnastics will do all possible to assist gymnasts and foster an atmosphere conducive to their success."
