An EXCELLENT presentation will include: ___________________________________________________ 1. A written copy of an original folktale from your country. 2. The ability to explain what a folktale is and what 'oral tradition' means. 3. The presentation of a folktale from your country using the following guidelines: a. Folktale 'telling' should be about 5 minutes long. b. The Folktale Expert includes other group members in the storytelling. c. Props and/or costumes are used in the storytelling. d. Storytelling is done expressively. e. Characters are believable and avoid laughing and breaking character. ___________________________________________________ A SATISFACTORY presentation will include #1, #2 and #3 above, using some, but not all of the storytelling guidelines. ___________________________________________________ A presentation that NEEDS IMPROVEMENT will satisfy only two of the three criteria above. |
