IMMIGRATION

Ellis Island Eye Exam

During the late 19th and early 20th century huge numbers of immigrants came to America searching for freedom and economic opportunity. New York's Ellis Island and San Francisco's Angel Island became doorways of hope for millions.

Life for the newly arrived immigrants was rarely easy. America's streets were not paved with gold, but the immigrants persisted, and within a generation the face of America was forever changed.
