This year's chorus boasts a record number of participants. We have over 60 singers from 4th and 5th grades. Our first opportunity to perform was at our Veteran's Day program on November 11th. We sang "Voices of Pride". The chorus sang so beautifully on the Christmas Program. They sang "God Bless America", "Modal Merry Christmas" and a rousing rendition of "We Wish You a Swinging Holiday". We are so proud of Lauren Long, Cassie Cobb, Mallie Lewis, Morghen Davis, and Skylar Stanley, who were chosen to be members of the S.C. Honors Choir. They will go to Charleston in February and sing in a concert there. Our next performance will be our spring program which is called "America's Jukebox". We have many new songs to learn for this program. The 5th grade chorus members will participate in the Mayfest. More details to come. |
