Contact info: paschallk@nclack.k12.or.us 503-353-5460 ext. 22711 May 2, 2008 Our baby chicks have arrived!!! Our class is the proud parents of 8 baby chicks. They all hatched on Thursday with the exception of one late bloomer who hatched late Friday night. The hatching was very exciting and fascinating to watch. The chicks are so cute and all seem to have a little bit of personality. We especially are fond of our chick named Junior. He was the smallest of all of the eggs and is definitely the smallest chick. However, he was one of the first to hatch and seems to be one of the most outgoing and curious. The chicks will be with us through Tuesday, May 6th and then they will be heading to their new home on a farm in McMinnville. Thank you to Mr. Livengood, Mrs. Hoang, Mrs. Stephens, Mr. and Mrs. Gerde, Mrs. Wardlaw, Mrs. Regelin and Mr. Paschall for coming along with us to the zoo! We had a great time and saw many animal adaptations in person. Great job kids...you received many compliments throughout the day on your great behavior. I'm proud of you! Upcoming Dates to Know About Friday, May 16- Field trip to Philip Foster Farm |
