So, you are about the embark on the process of writing a research paper. Many writers find that expressing their own ideas, while integrating the information from research articles, can be challenging. It is for this reason that every student should understand the seriousness of plagiarism.

TIMELINE: Approximately one week

This unit will walk you through four websites that focus on different aspects of plagiarism: The Cheating Epidemic, Plagiarism Defined, How to Paraphrase Information, and how to Properly Document Sources. At the end of the unit you will need to take a quiz. After clicking the QUIZ link, log on and search for the "Avoiding Plagiarism" quiz developed for your Composition class.
